Kite board is more than one sport. It includes the week board sport, the wind surf sport and the sailplanes sport where the kite pulls its user depending on the wind speed. By the sea board the person may surf in different speeds or he may carry out jumps from 6-10 meters or more than that on the water surfs, he may carry out various movements and he also may return opposite to the wind direction at a certain angle.

What is the proper size to practise the kite board sport?
The size depends on three factors: Wind speed, the person's weight and the size of the used board. The wind speed is considered the factors that determine the size of the kite where each size has its wind range.
  • For example: if the size of the kite is 12 sq.m, then it may be used in wind speed of range from 20 K.m to 40 k.m by a person weighing 75 kg.
  • But a kite of the size 8.5 sq.m, then its range will be from 35 k.m to 60 k.m for the same person.
  • If the wind speed is from 13 k.m to 30 k.m then the proper size for the same person will be 18 sq.m.
Choosing Size :
Now you know that which type of Kite you are going to ride, choosing the size of a kite is the next step. There are three basic factors in determining your kite size.
Weight :
The heavier you are, the more the kite's size will need to increase.
Wind Speed :
The higher the wind speed the less surface area is needed to create pull in the kite. This means you will use smaller kites in greater wind speed.
Skill level :
Beginners need stability, easy re-launch, and safety in their first kites. Hybrid/SLE is generally the best choice with their safety, stability ease of use and range. The better you get, the more you will appreciate the differences in faster and more powerful kites.
